Unlike other programs which target only a few sounds, our programs are comprehensive. We help you build a solid understanding of all American English sounds and sound patterns, including stress, linking, and intonation. Our accent reduction courses include feedback and instruction on grammar and vocabulary, working through errors that come up real-time in our sessions.

Jane Rupp, Voices of the World’s founder and owner, is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She also holds undergraduate degrees in French and Linguistics. Through extensive study of students’ pronunciation patterns and learning needs, she developed a propriety training method, training book, and e-learning platform. Accent coaches from around the country now learn from Jane in order to become certified in the Rupp Method.

As her business has grown, Jane has carefully selected and trained additional professionals to provide high-quality, in-depth training using the Rupp Method. Jane trains each trainer personally to ensure a solid knowledge base, excellent perception and analysis skills, attention to detail, and effective teaching skills. This training is not only intensive, but extensive, far surpassing any commercially-available training courses or programs for accent trainers. We are proud of our small, cohesive team and the results we see in our students.

Yes! Individual classes are typically (though not always) scheduled for a recurring day and time from week to week, but may be rescheduled to a different day or time as needed. In addition to flexible scheduling, we also offer night and weekend classes. We will work with you to find a day and time that fits your schedule.

We also offer videoconferencing through Skype for those who aren’t able to visit us in our Austin or Dallas office locations.

We provide speech, pronunciation, language, and communication training for professional and/or personal improvement. Even when provided by a speech-language pathologist, accent reduction training is not a medical or health service and will not be covered by your insurance.
